Amgis-KCC Frequency Converters
When your equipment’s requirements don’t fit local mains power, Amgis-KCC Scientific Converters align voltage, frequency and wattage requirements, ensuring that your equipment can operate anywhere in the world.
With these converters, you simply select the voltage and frequency you need from the front panel, and plug it in.
Equipped with an Amgis’ low-noise transformer, these converters offer ultra-high precision and deliver a 0.0002% frequency accuracy. By reconstructing mains power lines, these converters help provide clean, isolated power (pure sine wave output). Each voltage/frequency converter comes with a two-year warranty and is equipped with a medical-grade wall adapter and isolated ground wire.
Why Do You Need a Frequency Converter?
Any industrial machine, specifically devices with motors that turn or vibrate, are dependent on power line (mains) frequency to do their job properly and at the right speed.
If you own a device designed for 50 Hz operation (common in Europe or Asia) and want to power it in the US, it will run about 20 percent faster (out of scope) without proper frequency conversion. This will cause the motor to work at a higher speed than rated for and can cause the motor to overheat. A similar outcome can be expected if a 60 Hz rated product is used on a 50 Hz line.
